Pamela Mitchell (Host)
Pamela has been a supporter of Indy since 1973 and of the SNP since 1976. She has addressed over 1,400 delegates at National Conference in Perth in 2012, 2013 & 2014 on Welfare issues, ATOS, Pensions, Disabled Rights and Higher Education.
She’s a regular attendee and contributor on BBC Radio Scotland’s Big Debate since 2011 and other Local Radio Broadcasts. She was also published twice in the Scotsman in 2010 & 2011 and interviewed by Black Triangle. She has attended/participated in several Leaders Debates from 2012 onwards, questioning and challenging the leaders. In 2014, she was invited to speak at a YES Meeting in Alloa as part of a panel of speakers which included MSP’s, Journalists and other political guests where she addressed 300 residents, including answering questions from the audience.
She Addressed 3,000 Delegates at SNP Conference in 2017 on Disability and Equality and was a candidate for the 2017 Council Elections. As well as party politics she is actively engaged in Inclusion Scotland Policy making and workshops. She held the posts of Women’s Officer, Equalities Officer and Political Education Officer for the SNP. She was actively involved with NUS Scotland and served on the Women’s Committee between 2008 and 2011. She was also active with Edinburgh Women for Independence during 2013 & 2014.
